About Hibs

(Hibs) in Kuwaiti maritime terminology refers to a slipway or dock used for raising and lowering ships.

These structures, built by Kuwaitis, were named after their constructors and served ship owners by facilitating the unloading and storage of ship equipment. Historically, hibuses were large stone walls with stairs for access, and were places where children played, fished, and swam.
